On the northern side of the Haagse Bos is the area of Benoordenhout. Haagse Hout is the area around the Haagse Bos situated to the northeast of the city centre. It is home to the HSV International and Dutch Primary School - NSL Location. The housing here is a mixture of 19th-century villas, many of which are used by embassies and offices, and newer apartments. The adjoining areas of Archipelbuurt and Willemspark are green, leafy and affluent area located to the north of the Centrum district and bordering the Scheveningse Bosjes. Cycling from one end of the city to the other takes around 45 minutes. There are cycle paths everywhere so most destinations can be reached within 20 minutes. The Hague is also a relatively small city and easy to get around using public transport or by bike. In spite of Amsterdam being the official capital of The Netherlands, The Hague is the official seat of the Dutch government and home to the Dutch Royal Family, parliament and supreme court. The Hague, often referred to as The International City of Peace and Justice, is a multicultural city with four centuries of international integration resulting in less than half of its population, of around 540,000, being Dutch nationals. There are 14 international schools in The Hague with a variety of curricula including 2 British schools, 1 American school and 5 IB schools.
